Geek Test #1

I was trying to explain this comic from xkcd to my wife, but I couldn’t explain what it means or why I thought it was amusing.

I think if you both understand this comic and find it at least mildly amusing you are clearly a geek (whether the inverse is true is an exercise I’ll leave to the reader)…

  2. ps - as a follow up, F immediately went to the website and is surfing through their entire archive of comics. he said they are ones that would only appeal to geeks. i guess that’s why he’s still surfing.

  3. 100% D’n'D, and it’s not remotely amusing. In fact, it lacks any creativity at all.

  4. Hmm, how could I have left out a corollary test for the anonymous troll as part of geekdom? Clearly the “mildly amusing” portion of the test is now empirically invalidated.
